QUALIFICATIONS: 

Secondary Principal Certification since 1989 with a major in Business Education and a minor in Math.  Other certification endorsements include:   History, Economics, Psychology, Computer Science(K-12) and Coaching of Basketball, Football, Track.

EDUCATION:

Specialist Degree in Educational Administration in 2008.  Masters Degree for Secondary Principal from the University of South Dakota in 1989.  Bachelor Degree in Education from the University of South Dakota in 1982.

EXPERIENCE:

Suptintendent of Corsica-Stickney Schools--2015-.  Secondary Principal at Corsica High School, Corsica, South Dakota 1989-2015.   Business Instructor at Corsica High School, Corsica, South Dakota 1982-Present.   Athletic Director 2003-2015.  Maintained SIMS/DDN Campus Data for Corsica Schools & Corsica-Stickney Schools.  Secured several grants for technology and facilities improvements.  Maintain and update school web-page.  Student Teaching Experience at Vermillion High School, Vermillion, South Dakota Fall of 1981.  Worked for the Director of Field Experiences at the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, South Dakota (1978-1982).

EXTRA-CURRICULAR EXPERIENCES:

Head Track Coach for 33 years-26 Conference Titles, 13 Regional Titles, along with State Runner-Up finish in 1999 and State Champions in 2000.  Head Boys Basketball Coach (2005-2010)-District Champions-2009, Assistant Football Coach & Junior High Football Coach for 16 years. State 9-B Football Champions in 1986.  Assistant Boys Basketball Coach for 10 Years. Assistant Girls Coach for 1998-2005.  Yearbook and Newspaper Advisor 1984-1986, 2003-2010. Student Council Advisor since 1989(Outstanding Student Council Status for 3 years)

HONORS AND ACTIVITIES:

Region Principal of the Year-2005-06, 2009-10.  Mitchell Area Walmart Teacher of the Year-2003, DTL Graduate in 2000, South Dakota Boys Track Coach of the Year-2000, TTL 99 Graduate in Technology, Served on the SD Lions Foundation Organization in 1999-2002, Served on board of the Grace Reformed Church, Corsica, South Dakota, South Dakota Hershey Volunteer of the Year Award-1999, SDCCTCA Region 5 Area Coach of the Year-(1999, 2000, 2004, 2009, 2012, 2013) ,  Teacher Assistant at Youth Business Adventure 2003-2013) Member of Phi Delta Kappa, Pi Omega Pi, and Omicron Delta Epsilon.
