THE CORSICA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION MET ON OCTOBER 9, AT THE
THE FOCUS OF THIS MEETING IS TO FINALIZE DETAILS FOR THE BANQUET MEAL AND PROGRAM FOR THE ANNUAL MEETING TO BE HELD AT THE CORSICA LEGION HALL ON NOVEMBER 1ST.
BANQUET TICKETS HAVE BEEN PRINTED, DISTRIBUTED, AND SALES ARE IN PROGRESS. COST OF A TICKET IS $25.00 WITH ANY PROFIT GOING TO THE FOUNDATION AS A “FUNDRAISER”. WE URGE THE BUYERS AND
SELLERS TO MOVE FORWARD AT A BRISK PACE IN ORDER TO GET ALL TICKETS SOLD AND A COUNT TO THE TRAVEL PLAZA (THE TRAVEL PLAZA WILL PREPARE THE MEAL) BY THEIR DEADLINE SO THEIR MEAL PREPARATIONS CAN PROCEED.
SEVERAL ITEMS HAVE ALREADY BEEN CONSIGNED FOR THE SILENT AUCTION WITH SEVERAL ADDITIONAL IN PROGRESS. THE SILENT AUCTION WAS A VERY POPULAR EVENT AT LAST YEARS BANQUET.
THE FOUNDATION MEMBERS ARE ASKED TO BE AVAILABLE ON OCTOBER 30TH AT 7:00 P.M. TO “SET-UP” THE LEGION HALL FOR THE ANNUAL AFFAIR.
THE FCCLA AND NHS HAVE AGREED TO “SERVE” THE MEAL ON THE 1ST.
THE MEAL WILL CONSIST OF CHICKEN/HAM; MASHED POTATOES AND GRAVY; GREEN BEANS; BUNS; SALAD, AND ICE CREAM FOR DESSERT. MOTION WAS MADE AND ALL WERE IN FAVOR TO ACCEPT THE OFFER FROM DENNY NEUGEBAUER TO TAKE CARE OF THE WINE BAR. THE PLACE SETTINGS PROVIDED BY THE LEGION WILL BE USED. THE MEAL IS SCHEDULED TO BE SERVED AT 6:45 P.M.
DENNY EVERSON WILL BE OUR KEYNOTE SPEAKER. A MASTER OF CEREMONIES WAS DISCUSSED/APPROVED, AND WAITING HIS APPROVAL. OTHER DETAILS FOR THE PROGRAM WERE DISCUSSED AND WILL BE FINALIZED BY OUR NEXT MEETING DATE.
THE NEXT MEETING DATE IS SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY OCTOBER 23RD
